[ gu yun smiles in response, and trots up to investigate, hands behind his back. ] Do you need any help? Seems like you've got quite the operation here.

[ She's going to pick up one fish and pick off some of the flesh to eat, looking around at the place. ]

I'm startin' ta think... that I can't actually eat all of this.

It is a lot of fish.

[ what's the most indulgent thing to do here. ] Perhaps just eat until you can't, and share the leftovers? Indulgent and thoughtful.

[ Yuel is leaving nothing but a pile of bones in her wake as she charges through the fish. ]

I kinda think bein' thoughtful is the opposite of what we're supposed to do? [ . . . ] Unless I stuff someone else full of food?

[ the idea seems to amuse him, honestly. he's watching yuel just absolutely mow down this food, now, propping his chin in his hand. this is impressive?? ] Though, if you're looking to share, I wouldn't mind a meal. Yuel, right?

[ She has not being using her cell phone at all. ]

...and then laughs, pulling out the phone. ] Actually, I've got a bit of a cheater's hand. Have you not looked through this odd thing?

[ She's going to crowd next to him to take a look. ]

It didn't seem that interestin'.

[ Presumably he has the contacts page up, and her eyebrows fly up. ]

We're all there. So yer Gu Yun? Or Zi Xi?

That's me. You can call me whichever you want - I'm not picky.

[ zixi is his courtesy name, after all. nice of them to put it on there for him!

he flips through the contacts and opens his own page to let yuel read it, if she'd like. ] There's information on everyone - you should take a look. I'm trying to memorize everyone's names.

[fluffier]

[ She takes it happily, pouring over the information splayed across the page. ]

Givin' and receivin' daddy issues? What does that mean?

[ looks into the camera like this is the office ]

D'you have issues with yer dad?

[ laughing!!! ] As for giving - I have a son, so maybe that's why. How rude.

Oh? Do you think I birthed him? [ gu yun laughs, teasing and playful. ] He was officially adopted a couple of years ago.

[ She grins, picking up another fish to eat. ]

I guess if it was the baby of someone I love. Then I'd be happy to protect our kid in my body.

[ oh that answer is so pure??? yuel is so cute??? this makes all of the horror of thinking about mpreg (spoon i hate you) go away at least, and he props his chin in his hand. ]

That's romantic. [ a bit fondly. ] I adopted my ward when he was fourteen or so, so I didn't exactly get to handle a baby. [ gu yun would be absolutely horrible with a baby, probably? yikes. ]

And, not to mention - [ this is a bit more dramatically, touching his hand to his heart. ] I'm doing it all on my own. [ :'( ]
