I spent a good portion of it more or less accusing her of being the murderer. I'm mad for a lot of reasons.

[ like, he will admit that his line of questioning did point fingers at beau. that did not help, probably. ]

All the evidence point to her. We only had a couple hours to figure it out, it wasn't enough time to know someone mighta been settin' her up.

That's true. Murders aren't normally solved in just a few hours.

I don't like being played as thoroughly as we had been.

Me neither. [ Though... it's not hard to play Yuel, but she imagines it's less common for a smarty like Sasazuka. ] D'ya know they're gonna do to Beau?

I don't think they were explicit about it, no. When I asked early on, Sloth told me they hadn't planned it out that far ahead yet.

[fluffier]

Then... do ya think she'll be okay? They wouldn't do anything when they know she's not guilty, right?

[dotcom]

Honestly? They put such an emphasis on it being our decision, they may punish her anyway since she got votes.

[fluffier]

[ you're going to make her cry, jerk ]

But that's...! Shouldn't we be the ones to be punished since we got it wrong?

[ stop don't cry ]

Maybe under a different system. But the concept of justice is a biased one. I don't think people will ever agree on what it means, so instead we get this mess.

[fluffier]

But- that ain't- why'd ya gotta—

[ She cuts off with a groan, eventually getting frustrated enough that she jumps off the chair and walks over to the wall to give it a kick.

Which... hurts like a bitch since she doesn't wear shoes, but she manages to refrain from letting it show. ]

[ he just watches her do this.]

... No.

[ She's definitely blinking away tears now but, it's fine. ]

So what next?

... the fact that someone got away with the first murder that happened isn't a good sign. It's probably the worst way we could have ended it, since it gives the impression to other people who would be willing that they can get away with it too.

We can keep trying to solve what happened, but without any evidence to go off of.

[fluffier]

But at least we learned some stuff. And we're gonna learn more, and get to the bottom of this. Everyone seems mad so... we'll work together.

[ to be clear: other people will learn and think ]

Nothing is quite the motivator like spite.

[ and guessing wrong will probably make people want to correct their mistake, if they care about that sort of thing. ]

[ She turns back to face him again, a little more determined. ]

[ there's a firm nod. ]

I get the feeling we won't really get another chance to look at the evidence, since the Avatars made a point that we had to solve it in nine hours. [ ... ] Beauregard says her staff went missing earlier on, so this could have been planned well in advance. So we need to keep an eye out all week for anything that seems off.

Somebody tried to frame her. [ She frowns, looking irritated. ] Do ya have any other guesses?

Just that it was someone who used her profile information to their advantage. Everything that was used could have been taken from it.

[ her profile describing her as being punch happy was even brought up in trial. ]

There's still a lot of holes though. Where the hell did that skull come from?

[fluffier]

[ i was on the phone at that point so i have no idea what went on with the skull ]

That was confusin'... we never figured out who's it was, right?

[ as someone who was around, i promise you it still makes no sense. ]

We didn't. Someone suggested something supernatural, but... we don't have powers. It wouldn't have worked.

But it... Had to be Tamaki's? Everyone else is alive?

[ he looks into the distance ]

That doesn't make any sense either.

[ She sinks down into the captain's chair again. ]

Ya know, I'm not normally a quitter but we ain't gettin' anywhere, are we?

Honestly, I'm not entirely convinced the skull was even involved with what happened with Tamaki.
