But why would anyone kill Tamaki? He was a good guy.

Maybe they thought he would be an easy target?

[ he shifts, holding his arms across his chest. ]

If there wasn't a personal reason to go after him, ease of murder might be it.

[ She doesn't say anything at first, because honestly it hadn't been hard for her to reach the same conclusion. ]

If that's true, then... [ She lifts her head to look at Sasazuka, gaze going up and down his body. ] You could be next.

[ AOI IS RIGHT THERE?? SHE'S NOT EVEN FIVE FEET TALL. ]

Why aren't ya worried?!

Be worried about yourself! Now that one person is dead, it means that other people might be more willing to take that leap too. And maybe they won't care who they go after.

[ non twinks can be targets too!! ]

I am worried! [ She doesn't want to die either. ] But I'm also worried about you and the others... Some of ya don't know how to fight at all.

I'll be okay. Despite how I look, I'm at least used to dangerous situations.

[ that does not answer whether or not he knows how to fight but that's not the point. ]

[ She has to admit that he does seem smart, if not strong. ]

What kinda situations?

[ there's a pause, and he goes to flick her on the forehead. ]

Has anyone told you that you're nosy?

She frowns, flicking him right back. ]

I'm just tryna make sure yer not the next body the monster goes after.

[ he sighs. ]

I will try to get myself killed. But until we get more details on what exactly happened, everyone should probably be on edge. The fact that they can just force us to go to sleep isn't that great.

[fluffier]

Well, that is scary, but they can also yank us from whole other worlds.

[ She scratches her head. ]

There probably ain't a whole lot they can't do. But... none of us can use our powers. So if the murder happened while we were asleep, it couldn't have been us because everyone woulda been asleep.

[dotcom]

Unless someone's not asleep. And that also seems like a good time to attack someone, when they can't fight back.

[ he frowns. ]

At the very least, something happened before we fell sleep, since people were able to notice weird things going on. But we have no way of knowing if Tamaki was already dead or not by then.

I'm gettin' a real bad feeling about all this.

[ that is, just beyond a poor twink dying ]

Like... more people are gonna die.

It's likely. Whatever happens with this one will probably be a sign of how things will go. And it doesn't help that I'm pretty sure there are people here who won't really blink at the thought of killing someone.

[ She can't really find room to argue. As much as she likes most of the people here, they all wanted something badly enough to make a shady deal. So if it came to kill or be killed...

She's sighs, steeling herself. ]

Well, I'm countin' on ya to have the smarts to survive. But maybe a couple hours at the gym wouldn't hurt.

Well, considering half of this place seems to be armed with kitchen knives, who knows how much that would help?

[ people were taking weapons before murder was ever a thing wow. ]

Ya shouldn't discount yer body's ability to save yer butt. Maybe you'll have to run for yer life, but what'll ya do if ya can't run more than two minutes?

I can run for more than two minutes.

I know I'm not the strongest person here, but I at least know how to handle myself if I end up in a mess. And I'm not out of shape.

Really? [ She grins, propping her cheek on her palm. ] Maybe yer the one that should be showin' me a thing or two.

Just remember to think before leaping into things. It's just a few extra seconds.
