[ If she's being honest about all the strange instances of memory sharing, Yuel has to admit that she doesn't mind her own failings being shown. Not when it's with people who understand what it's like; who are all here to struggle toward something they hadn't been able to achieve of their own.

But Kou isn't here, and he doesn't know Takeru. She feels somewhat guilty revealing one of his weakest moments to someone he doesn't know, even if he's unaware of the slight. ]

Well... That kid was Kou. We ran into him when we were investigatin' Ninetails. [ wait does Takeru know Ninetails ] Ninetails is a monster that Kou's family was tryin' to revive. And they were raisin' him to be her vessel.

But he tricked Societte into takin' his place. Societte... is my best friend. [ i hate explaining this ] And she's the reason I'm here.

[ She huffs, putting her hands on her hips. ]

[ as a general summary? yes. it kind of sounds like something from anime, honestly, but he isn't going to explain what an anime is to her. ]

Yeah. Ninetails still has her. I gotta get strong enough to get rid of her for good.

[ she said best friend, but sasazuka knows that some people wouldn't go this far for something like that. ]

[ At this, Yuel actually smiles. ]

Mhm, I've known her my entire life. She's kind and thoughtful, and her dancin' is the best I've ever seen. Not a lot of people get to see how amazing she is because she's so shy... But she's cute when she freezes up in front of people.

Even you wouldn't be able to resist her charms.

But Yuel just grins, bumping her shoulder against his. ]

[ he just glares at her. ]

[ She isn't particularly convinced, but she doesn't harass him any further, pushing away whatever had bubbled up from the memory to focus on the space around them instead. ]

Were ya explorin'? This place is kinda creepy.

It's probably haunted.

[ normally he wouldn't believe that, but so much weird shit has happened here that he is just willing to accept it. ]

Eh, seriously?

[ She looks back at him with a weak smile, not particularly scared but also not enthused. ]

Maybe we should do an exorcism.

but, as soon as he says that, another memory plays (stop at 19:38). sasazuka hums softly once it ends. ]

[ Yuel's just about to give him smack when the memory flashes in front of her eyes, the sight of a young woman unnerved and upset, and Takeru who doesn't seem to care at all.

She blinks, staring at him for a moment before frowning. ]

Why were ya bullyin' her like that? Don'cha know how to be nice to girls?

She needed to hear it.

[ the fuck is being nice to girls! ]

Like that? Ya had to get yer point across by makin' her feel awful?

[dotcom]

She needed to understand the situation she was in. Everyone else was coddling her, so it was hitting her the way that it should.

You can't always be kind.
